Suzuki Zambia Proactivity against the COVID 19 Pandemic

Covid 19, is a respiratory disease caused by a new Coronavirus known as SARS-CoV-2. The virus causes respiratory illness similar to a common cold and in severe cases leads to pneumonia, kidney failure and can in some cases result in death.
Suzuki Zambia has continued to share information with members of staff on how to prevent the spread of COVID 19 during its monthly staff forums by engaging qualified health care practitioners to give full presentations on the virus, it’s effects and prevent measures.
What measures a person must take to prevent Covid 19.
Measures that Suzuki Zambia has put in place to prevent the spread of Covid-19:
- Members of Staff who had recently travelled to countries considered as high risk areas have all been put on 14 days mandatory house isolation.
- As a way of encouraging social distancing, leave schedules have been put in place to allow staff to proceed on leave. This is in order to effectively implement social distancing within the work place.
- Buckets of treated water have been placed at all facility entrances for customers to wash their hands.
- A Task Force has been put in place to deal with all Covid 19 related issues across all branches.
What measures a person must take to prevent Covid19.
Measures that Suzuki Zambia has put in place to prevent the spread of Covid-19:
- A staff WhatsApp group has been formed for information sharing.
- Hand sanitizer dispensers have been placed in strategic locations to enhance the safety of members of staff and customers.
- Digital posters have been developed and posted on official Suzuki Zambia Facebook page and website to increase awareness.
- All members of staff have been provided with thermometers for personal and family use as a way to enhance the fight against COVID 19.
